This is a story I would have never known about! Stay free Carlton.

Yes the NSA is on all of us. You are a soldier. We survive and keep at it.

Are you a volunteer? For what kind of animals? Before I ever heard of Ironwood, I visited Moab, Utah and, while finding dinosaur footprints, discovered a Buddhist animal sanctuary. They had a pen for bunnies that became infested with mice - so they set up an area to protect mice.

It is sometimes hard to remember that there are good people in this world.

Thank you for what you do.

I return the kindness to you Charles—you are deeply compassionate and caring, I can tell. Right now, I volunteer at a human hospice center. I grew up with animals on a farm my dad owned in eastern Washington state. And the land I currently live on we had designated as a National Wildlife Foundation Natural Habitat, which means we practice restorative, sustainable, and organic practices on the property—no poisons, herbicides or pesticides and we make sure to provide food, water, breeding areas, and shelter habitat for wildlife. It’s become a passion.

Thank you, Jim. Pot-bellied pigs are probably the most neglected, abused, and abandoned pets in the nation. When they are rescued and given a home at Ironwood, the staff finds that the pigs' ears have often been chewed off by wild dogs. Many have been housed by maniacs and many are given up because their owners can no longer care for them. I am proud to support Ironwood and I know that Carlton has gotten excellent care. People that run Rescue Centers are the best people in the world.

Mark Twain's views on animals and humans was immortalized by the following statement, which is probably a misquote: "The more I learn about people, the more I love my dog."

I saw a story recently about pet monkeys, and how, once they mature and become aggressive -- they ALWAYS will -- people abandon them. Such people should be flown into the Amazon jungle and abandoned.

It's awfully muggy in the Amazon jungle. They should be given the option of being dropped into Kiev.
