Thanks for sharing the excerpt from Ouspensky. After visiting the Theosophical Center near Chicago 25 years ago, I've been interested in them. Yet I've never read a biography of Madame Blavatsky or Gurdjieff. I read a biography of Spinoza that was boring. Right now I'm in the middle of Jung's RED BOOK and looking forward to reading SAMADHI by Ivan Antic. Antic (similarly to the Rosicrucians) believes that everything is the action and result of Universal Intelligence and that we are simply mirrors reflecting those thoughts. His unique view is that every time we move or take any action, we are delving into alternate universes and (as Vonnegut wrote) everything that ever happens is happening all the time.
